Flashback Friday

I was born the day before my brother Ryan's first birthday, so we are the same age for one day. Ever since we were little, my dad has insisted on taking a picture of us on my birthday holding signs to say how old we are. I used to resist this little tradition, but now it is fun to look back on all the years and remember which awkward stage I was going through that year. I want to track down all of the pictures of all the years, but this many embarrassing moments will have to do for now.
I guess I won't worry so much when Dallin makes his 5 backwards. I turned out fine... right?

8, and about to get baptized. Bless my heart.

I loved that sweater with the numbers all over it. It had a wide neck and I would wear a yellow tank top underneath. A little provacative for the times.

18. Wow, that was a bad year. I should have saved that Lucky shirt. It would probably fit my husband now.

Ryan was on his mission when I turned 19.
Hike those pants up, sista!

And now the elusive 31. I'm not afraid of growing older. It can't be worse than my youth.

I love those pictures! I hope you are able to find a picture for every year. We definitely need a copy of all of them.

It has always been fun to be the same age for a day. Do we have the same haircut in a few of those?

Love the old photos, what a cute idea to share...Don't make fun of your clothes, I used to worship what you guys wore since you were from the "big city" :)

What a cute tradition!I love it Anne Marie! Are you doing the same thing with your little ones? That sure save having to write ages on the back of photos doesn't it! :-)

How cute are you guys! I think you know that my sister and I are Irish twins too, only we're the same age for an entire week! I wish we'd have done the picture thing. How cute.

And LOL about the high pants. I remember at BYU that I would rebel and wear my pants around my hips (I would shop in the guy's department). I had a roommate tell me how unfashionable I was that my pants were too low. Ha ha.

I love these pictures! I love Ryan's hair in the pics too. I laughed when you wrote that Jason could wear the XL Lucky shirt you were wearing. Ha ha! Why was that ever cool?? Why did we always think we should wear XL Men's T-Shirts?

These are so cute!! And about the XL men's shirts... My senior class shirt is an XL in mens, I fond it the other day. I am going to make Kyle start wearing it.

I love the tradition of the birthday signs. I might have to borrow that idea from you. How fun now to look back & remember exactly what you looked like when you were different ages. I never wore the big t-shirts but I did have plenty of pants that I am sure I wore too high. Of course with the shirts always tucked in. Wasn't the office so funny? I had to watch the first new episode on our computer a few days later because we didn't have our cable set up yet. So, I am excited that I only have to wait one more day to watch the latest episode on a normal t.v. I love your posts. They always make me smile. By the way, at 31, you look gorgeous! I know that we are all jealous.
